Actun Tunichil Muknal
In addition to providing our jungle camp's main water supply, Actun Tunichil Muknal (Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre) is one of the most impressive caves in the Maya region. Named after a young woman's sacrificial chamber deep within the cave, it is also the location of one of only several cave altars in front of which the Maya elites collected and offered their blood.
