For this unit project, instead of a tutorial you will work on an assignment that brings together what you have learned about editing, sound design, and music production in Soundtrack Pro.
You will create a 60 second "audio postcard." Like a
regular "mail" postcard it presents a glimpse of a time or place,
but uses only sound. An audio postcard is comprised of a
selection of music and assortment of sound effects that portray
a scene or tell a short story. Equipped with what you know about
multi-track audio in
Soundtrack Pro, you should be able to create your postcard using
the loops and sound effects in the Soundtrack Pro library.
Your postcard should be at least 60 seconds in length. It must include music, "background" or environmental sounds, and have at least five "foreground" sound effects. Of the five sound effects, two should be custom effects, created by you, using the techniques of sound design we discussed in class. The deliverables for this project are:
