Judging criteria for Mr. and Miss Asia 2004

*each criteria is being scored on the scale from 1-10

 

 

  1. Throughout the show from the beginning to ending

    1. Overall stage presentation: posture, gesture, and facial expression

    2. Confidence: poise and being comfortable and contended on the stage

    3. Apparel: appropriateness, originality, and neatness

  2. Opening dance

    1. Uniformity: be able to match up with other contestants and timing

    2. Posture/Gesture: poise, facial expression, and being able to feel comfortable in front of the audience

  3. Question and Answer

    1. Quality: meaning and the aptness of the answer

    2. Delivery: voice, facial expression, and overall composure

    3. Originality: honesty and freshness of the answer

  4. Talent show

    1. Creativity: uniqueness and originality

    2. Quality: how well prepared is the show and poise of the contestants during the show

    3. Difficulty: how much time was put into creating the show

    4. Timing: must be less than 5 minutes (5 points penalty for going over 5 minutes)

  5. Catwalk

    1. Uniformity: timing, movements as a couple and as group on the stage

    2. Posture/Gesture: the way the contestants walk, stand, turn, and pose

 

 

The winners will be based on the following criteria:

 

  • Mr. and Miss Asia 2004 Awards (King & Queen): most points received from every category above

  • Talent Show Awards: a couple that receives most points from the Talent Show category

  • Best Costume Awards: a couple that receives most points from the Apparel criteria

  • Mr. and Miss Popular Awards: a couple that receives most votes from the audience (ballots will be collected at the end of the show)
